Yes mother-trucker! (My new fav term!)

Basketball is definitely my go-to solution for just about everything. The speed, the thrill, and that satisfying swoosh of the net - it's like therapy for both the mind and body. However, since I'm currently sidelined due to an injury (never appreciated good health the way I do now), I've discovered that swimming serves as a fantastic alternative. There's something incredibly soothing about gliding through the water, and it's been a refreshing way to stay active while I recover.

First your comment made me smile so so so big!

Yay us mothertruckers.

Next, that swimming. I need to do it more often. We are entering the super hot season in Texas and every year I say Iā€™m going to start ā€“ ā€“ maybe this will be the year :-)

For me, water swimming all of it symbolizes REBIRTH.

The summer of hot walking was the best. We propped each other up and laughed so damn much. It was so so hot and also so amazing. I feel like there will be another summer of hot walking sometime in our future.

Hot walking in the 70s!

And sadly not the degrees, but the decade.

Letā€™s book it.

Hopefully all we will have to solve at that point isā€”->what we plan to do with the rest of the day.

I have no idea if you meant for that picture to evolve into what itā€™s become, but it is so symbolic for me. I printed and have it framed on my wall.

You've given me so much to think about. I almost always regard walking as exercise. Not movement. Not meditation. I almost always walk with a friend or two, and regard solo walking as a chore. A slog. Thanks for the alternate perspective. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Oh, I love I was able to give you a different perspective because this has been a life/work/parenting/mental health saver for me!

All the reason I over explain above :-) and I cannot emphasize that moving meditation when Iā€™m alone strongly enough.

Donā€™t care about speed.

No care about step count.

Breathing breathing breathing.
